Meaning …with a twist!!😈

To be or not to be…

An Ass…

Now this can be interpreted as a donkey standing rigidly on a pathway, or a person resembling the stubbornness of the same “ass”…

OR, it can be taken as the well endowed bottom of a homosapien… waiting to be spanked or resting flush on a sofa…

A very harmless verb used for the arrival of a loved or a detested one can be convoluted for denoting the arrival of something literally “orgasmic”(pun intended)…..And lo!!! We have the eternal question of “To come or not to come”…

Feeling bliss, happiness, joy, exuberance… all point at being “Gay”….it’s a state of mind of pure unadulterated pleasure… But the meaning of this harmelss, pleasure denoting word has been deviated to, of course denoting pleasure, but of a different kind… More on the lines of homoerectus homosapiens!!!!!

How did words having nice, well meaning and even beautiful meanings, come to be associated with something totally different and sometimes downright insane!!!

It’s funnier to note that most of these pun words are innocent looking mots used in a not so innocent manner… Many are downright laced with innuendoes…

Interesting that words have the power to fire up or tone down the feelings….No wonder the power of “exciting” words is used for “arousing” the feelings in one…

Here I should rest my case, lest someone gets enraged or “aroused”…😈

I Swear!!!

Ernest Hemingway once said about a country which had a history of the least fought wars that it was because they had the choicest SWEAR words…

Food for thought…

What exactly is the joy in spilling out cuss words from the tongue like a turbulent and gushing waterfall, which erodes the senses (read ears) and sweeps away everything that comes in its wake in a mighty gush…

Almost every language spoken in any part of the world has its own choice of swears…

But no other relation has been given as much honour of being present universally as the “Mother” or “Sister”!!! Isn’t it ironic that the very people that a person loves the most and thinks of the most are omnipresent in the slickest,vilest and the most abusive words!!!!!

You can hear people remembering their loved ones at all times…

While waiting at a traffic signal, to honking their horns;

While watching a nailbiting match, to waiting for the turbulent weather to calm down before the flight touchdown;

While being caught up in an offseason drizzle, to not finding a ride in the scorching sun;

While making merry with friends, to being loggerheads with neighbours;

While being deliriously happy, to feeling downright sappy…

The list is endless…

Maybe it works as a pressure vent for the cooker of the emotional “Daal”(lentils)… The more the steam emits out of the valve, the softer and better the daal becomes… In this case, the steam element in question being the feelings…

But whatever… For some it’s the epitome of foul language or “Badtameezi”, for some it’s the ultimate release, leaving one all happy and spent…

Who am I to judge or claim??

I am but a Feather-Brain!!!!!!!

Why is it so??

Many times I wonder,

Many more I ponder;

Why is it so…

The nose releases the life,

But the mouth takes in the fork and knife;

The eyes take in all,

Yet the ears bear the toll.

Why is it so…

The leaves are green,

And the blooms are of colours bright,

The Sun is always radiant,

But the Moon is pale and white.

Why is it so…

Males lack a chromosome,

Yet have the power to Sire,

Women are the better halves,

Yet, they have to bear the ire.

Why is it so…

Nirvaana is north,

While energies run south,

We load in the mind,

But fire with the mouth.

Why is it so…

Right can be left behind,

Left can be right;

A straight line can form a curve,

Black can be bright.

Why is it so…

In one fluid pained motion…

The heart hurts,

The mind numbs,

The eyes weep,

Then nose runs.

The breath hitches,

The tongue ties,

The lips quiver,

The body sighs…

Whence in ecstacy…

The heart soars,

The mind prances,

The eyes dance,

The nose flares,

The breath gasps,

The tongue squeals,

The lips stretch,

The body twirls…

Queries are galore,

Answers are but blinking;

Is it only me?

Or are you also thinking???

Mood swing or sea-saw??

The other day someone told me that my articles don’t hold on to one thought, or rather, to one mood…..They swish and glide from the profound to the mundane, from downright sarcastic to solemn, thought provoking to silly….

So what exactly I think while writing!!

This got me actually thinking!!!
As I generally don’t think, I allow the thought to come to me on its own, as it’s more fun that way…
So coming back to the topic, what mood am I settled in while penning down my thoughts…

Mood!!!

A very, very flimsy, yet the most catalysing of all things alive. Not only humans, animals too are ruled over by this flingy varient many a times…

So what exactly do we mean when we say, “I’m  in a rotten mood” or in Hindi, “mera mood bahut kharaab hai… What exactly is “kharaab” (rotten)?? The mind, the heart, the nervous system?? Which part of the anatomy are we talking about? What is not well, or rather, what has not been pleased??
We hear words like “mood swings”, “moody” etc. Is it a pendulum which swings from jovial to sad, from nasty to loving, from solemn to naughty?

Well, it does!!
Sometimes, due to no immediate reason at all, we feel happy.. While other times, the need to tear up or scream and wail raises its head all of a sudden. The interesting thing is that we cannot seem to remain in one state of mood for a long period of time.. it keeps on oscillating between desirable and unwanted and unlikable emotions.

So, is it prudent to say that our mood is in our hands? That we can manoeuvre it according to will? Well, most often not, but yes, it’s not an undoable or impossible task. Sages have mastered it. To be in the same state of mind, or as we like to call it, to be in the same “mood” throughout…

Osho says “To master the moods, one has to understand the source, where the moods are arising from, and move towards the source of this anger, hate or love.”

Here, it’s interesting to note that most “moody” poetry, writings, paintings and other literary and artistic stuff twirls and sizzles about one “mood” only…. Sadness, melancholy… That grips one more strongly than the more benevolent and happy ones..
So what exactly is my “mood” while writing this piece of jumbled up words?

A little bit of salty,

A little bit of spicy,

A little bit of sweet,

A little bit of crunchy!!

Don’t all the flavours make for a good dish, and when the dish is as heavy and the spread is as massive as life, isn’t it wise and prudent to savour all of its tastes, or as we say, all of its “mood swings”???
